Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar, a British American singer and musician, is most well-known for her music. She was the first and the first woman to be awarded a British House of Commons Shield she's had Nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian of Indian descent to perform live and to be a presenter for the ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is among the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was London in 1982. In her first years she split between London New Delhi.
